At Southern Pest Control we hear constantly from concerned customers that they\u2019ve been visited by door-to-door<\/a> salespeople representing our competitors. This type of sales approach can be very inconvenient; and we urge you to beware of door to door salespeople for many reasons.<\/p>\n

Red flags to look out for<\/h4>\n

The following information will help to prepare you for this type of sales call should you find yourself on the receiving end of door-to-door sales tactics.<\/p>\n

  1. A door-to-door sales representative will use high pressure sales techniques to get a homeowner to sign a contract for their pest control services.<\/li>\n
  2. The sales pitch and price are often too good to be true. Consequently, homeowners should carefully review any contract before agreeing to the total cost and the services being offered.<\/li>\n
  3. In many cases, the door-to-door sales rep is not a licensed pest control applicator and cannot legally provide pest control service. At Southern Pest Control<\/a>, we believe a homeowner should only sign a contract for service after a thorough inspection by a technician who is licensed by the State Department of Agriculture.<\/li>\n
  4. It is common for a homeowner to succumb to high pressure sales techniques, then decide to cancel the contract several hours later. Keep in mind that the terms of these door-to-door service contracts usually do not permit the homeowner to cancel the contract.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    What to do if they approach you<\/h4>\n

    First of all, beware of door to door salespeople.
