As a former customer service agent, I have a deep appreciation for truly excellent customer service when I experience it. It is rare, and that makes it stand out even more. I was recently contacted by Stacey at Southern Pest Control to schedule my annual service. For years, this process has been a source of frustration because of the way my billing was originally set up. For the past six years, both I and the representative who contacted me have had to work through a confusing and difficult renewal process each time. When Stacey helped me with this year’s renewal, she handled the situation with kindness and professionalism. She did not criticize her company or the process. Instead, she simply acknowledged that the situation must be frustrating for me. That small moment of understanding meant a lot. I told her it was frustrating, but that I had simply become used to it. We eventually completed the existing process and set up another year of service. But Stacey did not stop there. After our call ended, she took the extra time to untangle the complicated billing issue that had been in place for years. She then called me back to explain what she had changed, and I literally sighed with relief. The cost of the service did not change, but the experience certainly did. What had once been time-consuming and frustrating is now simple, clear, and easy to understand. I was genuinely grateful for Stacey’s proactive approach, her attention to my needs, and the way she remained personable, patient, and professional throughout the entire experience. I am no longer just an existing customer. Because of Stacey, I am a happier customer.
