<li>If needed, the Spiny Flower Mantis is capable of seizing and killing prey bigger than itself.</li>
<li>The Spiny Flower Mantis diet consists of small pollinators, like flies and bees, over larger prey items.</li>
<li>When threatened, the Spiny Flower Mantis attempts to discourage predators by opening and spreading its grandiose wings making itself appear prominently larger.</li>
<li>A female Spiny Flower Mantis is capable of laying eggs almost three times its size.</li>
